My Case
Wish you have a mubarok day...ameen
I still confuse to choose which one I have to take. the work permit one, or sstudent pass??
In case of UIA, sister Linda, the officer at center for postgraduate student suggest to take part time study. which held on week end or past office hour on week day. Tuition fee 575 RM each semester. minimum credit hours is 9. for part time study, UIA will not issue student pass. I can finish the kulliyah for about 3 years.
But, I still feel that I can't take this, because:
1) UIA will not provide student pass for part time student, if PPZ (Pusat Pungutan Zakat/Zakat Collection Center) will not agree to collaborate with our JIMS project, and will not give me work permit, so I will not have any visa to stay here. because when I take part time study, next semester I can't change to full time study program to get visa. (now PPZ is processing the extention of my visa until 16 february)
2) if I fail to pass english test at UIA, so I also have to take intensive course for first semester, even I take part time study (my last TOEFL test result is unrecognized by UIA). it's mean that I have to come to CELPAD class everyday, so I can't work full time.
Another suggestion is from brother Awwal, student, Nigerian who get part time job at CPS. He said, prefer I defer UIA for this semester, and at this time I can prepare my english ability by taking english course outside, then I can have IELTS Overall Band 6, so when I take UIA I won't take English test again.
Maybe, . Because, I still can get a chance to get student pass if I don't get work permit on next december.
Then, for improving English ability for IELTS preparation, maybe I can learn autodidactly then when I feel ready, I'l take IELTS preparation course, part time, 60 hours, two months at British Council. the program will start on 8 january at British council. see this: http://www.britishcouncil.org/ielts-pre-t3-05.doc. the course is RM 630
Then I'l take IELTS exam, http://www.britishcouncil.org/malaysia-exam-ielts-test-dates.htm. the price is RM 490. and British Council IELTS result is recognized by UIA.
How is your opinion?

The second alternative suggested by the Nigerian Bro is more suitable for your case inshaallah.
ReplyDeleteyes, if you will have student pass, you are not allowed to work; on contrary, if you will have work permission pass, then you cannot apply for reduction of fees as you are working
ReplyDeletealso, when you will start studies, you will have not enough amount of time for work
because doing masters is very difficult if you want to keep you grades high
if your grades will be high, you can apply even for full loan
if we have several things to do, we cannot consentrate none of them
but it is depend from the person
sister, your english is good, you can pass exams, insha Allah. but the problem is that UIA is doing money as it much it is able now.
it is forcing almost all new students to take language cources. although sometimes the level of student is higher than of teachers of english
in the first week you will seat for exams. then 4 skills. if you can pass all skills, you will start your studies under department.
don't register as a part time, as we are international, and we need visa
if today you do not need it, it is not meaning that you will not need it in the future
guarantee is the best solution
then, you are planning for accounting isn't it?
a mean your programm
we have to do many things, but life is soo short..
may Allah make it beneficial
